Blayne Pearce Planit is a visual artist based in NYC whose mixed media paintings capture the invisible energies that shape the human experience through her intuition. Working with acrylics, oils, wax, sand, gravel, and unconventional materials, she creates layered works that serve as visual recordings of emotional exploration and transformation.
Planit's practice is grounded in ritual and intuition. She begins each piece by recording words directly on a surface without judgment, then builds layers as she processes through emotions that arise, dropping out of mental chatter and into bodily awareness. She builds textural, emotional landscapes. Each painting is complete when she reaches a sense of inner peace—the moment she's processed to stillness.
Having lived extensively in Southeast Asia and Australia, Planit brings a global perspective to her exploration of inner landscapes. Her work invites viewers to reconnect with their own primal intelligence and trust their bodies' wisdom. She sees her practice as a form of rebellion against disconnection, a way to access the lost art of listening to physical instincts.
Planit's distinctive approach to mark-making and material application creates works that reveal the textures of transformation itself. Her paintings reflect the complexity of inner life while creating pathways to deeper self-understanding.
Planit is co-founder of Visionary Projects.
